In the Beginning ...

We reach for the Stars...

The Cosmic Geography...

Key Series Turning Point...

The Great War...

While Goliath serves as a prelude to the Series, its real world building began in my first SF "Dharman Series." This trilogy presents the work of colonial survey and certification gone wrong on the planet Dharma-6 when a fierce unknown predator emerges. It will introduce you to a major segment of the series character cast, and begin the world building of the Saga. Get whole Trilogy for just $9.99

Meet the primary Character Cast recruited from the long Kirov Series with Earthforce Fleet Grand Admiral, Karpov, XO Anton Fedorov, All the bridge officers and even Tyrenkov, who is now Chief of Naval Intelligence.
This volume shows how the first seven off world colonies were discovered and explored, and it also unites the world of the Dharman Series with that of the Earthforce Saga.

This is a key volume that expands the world building with the discovery of "Startides" that can take Humanity through vast distances in little time, a natural FTL solution that super charges the work of exploration. Humanity relies on the Startides not only for exploration, but also for sheer survival in future volumes like #24 Exodus Protocol and #13 The Viper.

Another key volume with world shaking events that are catastrophic. The AI driven robotic race known as the Fendi launch a sinister plan to attempt the destruction of earth with a deadly new planet killing weapon... But something goes wrong, and the entire geography of the Solar System undergoes a cathartic change that then gives birth to a new planet, Archon.

Humanity has enjoyed a favored position as the protege of the most advanced race in the Milky Way, the Type-IV Lyrians. Now a dangerous new challenger crosses the intergalactic void from Andromeda and launches a great war against the Lyrian Empire. Humanity learns of a great battle that was fought "Beyond the Rift," and the fleet Flagship will go and investigate.

The best way to read the series, of course, is to take the whole ride, but rather than starting with Goliath, begin with the Dharman series Trilogy where you will meet important series characters and learn the metrics of colonization in this three volume flashback that actually takes place after the Dharman colony is first founded in book 8, Outreach. But the real world building begins in the Dharman Trilogy. And the character set there joins Earthforce to make important contributions from Book #8 through the entire series after.

And what about the Aliens?

The Earthforce Saga sees Humanity at war with many of the first alien sentient races they encounter. These are, in order, The Shadows, The Kroth-Khel alliance, The Fendi, the Kiring, and other entities like the Type-III Sontee also become antagonists. More information on the aliens appears below.

Only the dead have seen the end of War...

The First encounter with truly sentient races begins right at the outset in the Dharman Series trilogy, only this is a sentient Virus! Emerging from a realm later know as the Nightworld, a Crustacean race has invaded Dharma-6 long before the Humans arrive there and begin certification from an established "Safe Zone." Yet the planet also has a "Wild Zone" that is teeming with alien life created by an entity that is discovered in Volume #2 Mother Heart. The Crustaceans see Humanity utilizing Bio-warfare against other dangerous life forms on Dharma-6, and so they counterattack, with what becomes known as "The Colony Virus." Yet this virus is not native to Spacetime. it is a microbe from the Nightworld, with a heart of Dark Matter. The race to stop the plague and save Humanity begins with one man, Lt. Timothy Scott Ryan, Special Services, investigating a Communications blackout on Dharma-6. What he does and discovers will change all Human history, and also lead to the a remarkable evolution in two women, DR,. Elena Chandros, and Ensign Lydia Gates.

The Shadow War begins on Dharma-6 in the series opener, Wild Zone. Humanity soon learns it is at war with Hybrid beings made of Dark Matter!
The Coming of the Kroth: Next up in the Alien batting order are the Race Director Kamenski warns about as early as the Kirov Series, which he names the Kroth. These aliens have a unique biology, with no heart, blood, or circulatory system, no lungs or digestive system either. Their bodies have a transparent outer skin and they are filled with a "Life Gel" that is also transparent. Human intelligence learns they are commanded by a more advanced race, the Khel Bahadur. (See cover image  to the left)
First encountered in Antarctica in volume #61 of the Kirov Series (Queen's Gambit), these aliens are called the "Ice Men" by Karpov and Fedorov. Then Director Kamenski, a mysterious figure from the future, warns the Kroth are sending a large invasion fleet from their home in the Tau Ceti Star system, and they will arrive in 100 years. Unless Earth can build at least one space faring warship per year in that interval, Humanity will be conquered and enslaved by the Kroth.
That fleet is built, 100 warships ready to face and Fight the Kroth War throughout the entire Solar System as Kroth ships struggle to reach the Earth against Earthforce, now commanded by Admiral Vladimir Karpov. With victory after victory, Karpov is seen as the savior of Humanity, but the Kroth war ends in a most unexpected way, and Humans soon meet the reason why when they meet the robotic Fendi, (See Archon above.)

The Khel - Earthforce Saga #19
The Khel - Earthforce Saga #19

The Khel are an advanced species sharing the same alien biology as the Kroth, and commanding them in the war against Humanity. They were fought early in the war when the Kroth attempted to secure Mars before invading earth. That war on Mars is presented in the four volumes following the Dharman Trilogy. Then, the AI controlled Fendi Rebellion, a robotic race also created by the Khel-Kroth Imperium complicates things for the Khel war against Humanity, but when the Fendi also turn against Humanity, the war on Mars renews with an invasion by their legions of Automatons.
The resulting Fendi War soon takes center stage until the Fendi AI conspires to build a world killing weapon to eradicate Humanity in one fell blow. The catastrophe that results changes everything in the climactic novel Archon. After that, the entire Solar system is different, and a new, changeling planet is born.

The Khel will also become a recurring nemesis for Humanity  after they take command of a most dangerous insectoid race spawned in the Coalsack Nebula--The Kiring. These beings are  a large sentient Locust race that simply forage and ravage other worlds, seeing every other race as potential food prey. Throughout the series, Earthforce will face and fight the Kiring Twice. The first war is led by the Sontee, a mischievous Type-III race of powerful Telepaths. The second Kiring war, underway in the series now in the latest release, Heart of Darkness,  is led by the Khel, and this prompts Earthforce to launch a reconnaissance of the Shadowland below Subspace in the next Volume, coming in June 2026.
Eventually, Humanity will meet the Jinn, a highly advanced race that returns from Andromeda and leads to the Secret expedition Known as the Exodus Protocol. Can Humanity survive and find a safe sanctuary? Or will they be hunted down by the Arachnid Jinn?

Automatons - Earthforce Saga #16
Automatons - Earthforce Saga #16

The most advanced race in the galaxy, the Lyrian Empire, takes a dim view of what the Fendi have done, but soon the Lyrian Empire is involved in a great war of its own. Rumors of the fighting reach earth, and Karpov and Fedorov decide to take a journey Beyond the great obscuring dark ridge that hide goings on in the center of the galaxy. There they come upon something most unexpected in the ruins of a battlefield that stretches light years beyond the great star Antares.
